Chief Executive Officer
Health Colorado is the Regional Accountable Entity
(RAE) in Region 4, for the State of Colorado Medicaid health care contract.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
works closely with Health Colorado’s board of
directors to effectively achieve financial sustainability, successful contract management, and excellent
patient experience. The CEO is responsible to maintain approved budget and positive financial status. The CEO
will work with state departments, legislators, hospitals, private practice providers, and other community
stakeholders. It is vital that the CEO participate in
collaborative community endeavors, manage public
relations involving the RAE contract, and provide
strategic direction for Health Colorado. Possesses clear and effective communicative skills, provides
leadership for the organization, inspires and motivates teams to achieve exceptional results.
Qualifications
-Strong medical administration background,
with behavioral health experience.
-Master’s degree in management, business
administration, healthcare administration, or
closely related field.
-At least five years’ experience in upper
management employment.
-Experience designing and/or administering
health programs and developing health care policy.
-Knowledge of and experience with health care
delivery system reforms and Medicaid programs,
including federal and state regulations.
-Experience managing projects or contracts of
similar scope and size.
