16 TEMP Full-time Nursery Workers. Work site(s): Provided daily transport to/& from worksite; begin in Buena Vista, Marion County, GA 31803 at $14.97/hour. Cont into county(ies) of Marion, GA,Columbus, GA-AL MSA. 11/15/18-4/1/19.
Position duties: Pull pine seedlings from ground to be placed into a nest & stack container to be loaded/unloaded onto a wagon, sort trees according to standard, discard un-shippable trees, dip trees in preserving gel, strap seedling into bags, place tree bags in cooler to await shipping & other related Nursery Worker activities per SOC/OES 45-2092. Must be 18 due to state labor laws. Must show proof of legal authority to work in US Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 75 lbs (poss 2-person). No minimum education requirement OJT. Applicants must be willing/qualified, to perform work described & available for entire period specified. $14.97/hour over-time $22.46/hour, Poss daily/weekly hours: 7am-5pm. 40 plus to include lunch break Monday-Friday. Positions weekend/holiday work. (Over-time possible, not required/guaranteed. If OT is worked, wage paid at rate of time & a half per hour worked beyond 40 hours/week). Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasion extreme heat/cold. Variable weather conditions; hours may fluctuate (+/-), poss downtime and/or over-time. Employer will comply with all applicable fed/state & local laws pertaining to over-time hours. Will provide/pay cost of worker return transport/subsistence from worksite to place worker departed to work for employer if worker completes period of employment/dismissed before end of work period above. Transport/subsistence will be provided for cost from the place from which worker has come to work for employer, whether in the US/abroad, to place of employment. Guaranteed offered work hours at least 3/4s of workdays each 12/week period of total employment period. Use/maintain of employer provided tools/ equipment/ supplies at no cost/deposit.
