Starting Hourly Salary Range: $33,966.10- $39,061.02

Required Hours of Availability: Monday-Sunday; 12 hour shifts with rotating weekends  

Scope: This position operates a solid waste truck in the collection of solid waste and recyclables.

The mission of the Lee County Commission is to provide for the safety and welfare of all citizens through the delivery of essential public services. Lee County is primarily an administrative and executive unit of government operating by laws set by the Alabama Legislature.

Other elected county officials include the Revenue Commissioner, Probate Judge, Sheriff, and Coroner. These officials are independent of the County Commission's authority, but the Commission does have responsibility for the budgets of each elected official's office.

The Probate Judge is responsible for wills and estates cases, guardianships and conservatorships, mental health commitment hearings, eminent domain land condemnation cases, and the processing of adoptions, name changes, legitimations and related matters. Additionally, this office issues drivers, marriage, business, boat, hunting, and fishing licenses. The Probate Judge serves as the Chairman of the Lee County Commission.
