Senior Accounting Consultant – Early Learning
Puget Sound Educational School District seeks a Senior Accounting Consultant in the Early Learning department to provide effective supervision of the Early Learning fiscal team; provide assistance, guidance, and training to support department goals; ensure fiscal information is processed in a timely manner; and comply with internal, state, and federal accounting and auditing procedures.
PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts, charter schools and state-approved private schools in Washington. Educational Service Districts, created by the legislature, are an essential regional delivery system for early learning and K-12 services in the state. Qualifications
- Associates Degree or CSBS in accounting, finance, or related degree. High School Diploma and progressively responsible work-related experience may be equivalent to an AA degree.
- Professional experience preparing, processing, examining, and/or analyzing accounting data, records, or other finance reports.
- Experience using accounting software, spreadsheets, and/or databases.
Preferred Qualifications (Cover letter should specifically address any experience meeting the preferred qualifications)
- Experience in school districts or other government agencies;
- Experience with public works contracts rules and payment processing;
- Experience with/knowledge of analyzing systems, policies, or procedures in order to improve business practices;
- Experience in supervising, guiding, or training other members of a small team;
- Experience in A/P functions;
- Experience in vendor reconciliation.
This is a part-time, school schedule position (208 days, 1664 hours/year) position based in Renton. Salary: $65,345-$75,780/year. Candidate offers consider experience, qualifications and internal equity.
