Associate Director of Nursing for Pediatrics – Nursing - Administration

Upstate Medical University is looking for an Associate Director of Nursing for Pediatrics to join their dynamic team of expert professionals. 

The Associate Director of Nursing for Pediatrics assumes overall responsibility for the implementation of the vision, mission, plans and standards of the organization and patient care services within their defined areas of responsibility. Specific duties include: management and evaluation of clinical operations, customer and staff satisfaction, quality management, standards, certification and accreditation activities, professional practice activities, nursing staff education, and developing community relationships. Reports to the Deputy Director of Nursing for Pediatric with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) Registered Nurse required. Master’s degree in Nursing or healthcare related field required. (if Master’s degree is non-Nursing, Bachelors in Nursing required.) Minimum of seven years post licensure acute care RN experience to include five years of progressively responsible nursing management/supervisory experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, interpersonal, computer, presentation and analytical skills required. CPR-BLS required by time of appointment. Nurse Executive Certification preferred. Excels at TEAM development.
