Chief Psychologist – Rehabilitation Psychology

Upstate Medical University is looking for a Chief Psychologist to join their dynamic team of expert professionals.

The Chief Psychologist responsibilities include coordination of all Rehabilitation Psychology department operations, supervision of Rehab Psychology and Neuropsychology staff, program development, staff education, regulatory compliance, budget and billing/reimbursement issues. The Chief Psychologist works with the directors of therapy and nursing as well as the medical director and associate administrator to develop goals, initiatives and policies for Rehab Psychology, Neuropsychology and Concussion Management Program. The Chief Psychologist conducts neuropsychological evaluation of patients with acquired brain injuries, provides individual, group and family psychotherapy and education centered on adjustment and coping with injury and disability. The Chief Psychologist coordinates with other hospital departments in areas of common interest.

Ph.D. or PsyD in Psychology, NYS Licensed/Registered (or eligible) Psychologist, five years Psychologist experience to include two years in a supervisory/administrative capacity required.
